About Jonathan

Jonathan (he/him) currently serves as the Director of the L&S Instructional Design Collaborative. In this role, he manages the IDC team and provides leadership for initiatives, services, and partnerships with campus collaborators to support the L&S instructional mission through design, technology, and creative thinking. He also works closely with the L&S Associate Dean for Teaching and Learning to achieve this goal.

Jonathan is an experienced instructional designer and learning technology consultant, with an M.S. in Information & Communication Technologies, a graduate certificate in Instructional Design, and a bachelor’s degree in Political Science. Before working in instructional design, Jonathan held various roles in state legislative government, including outreach, policy, and digital communication. This varied background provides him with a unique perspective, allowing him to approach his role as Director of the IDC with an open, observant, and creative mindset. Jonathan is energized by connecting ideas that emerge from a creative team of higher education professionals to develop innovative initiatives and services that support L&S instructors.

Beyond his work with the IDC, Jonathan spends time with his family, supporting his two children at extracurricular activities, or slowly working to create a native species landscape in their backyard.
